About this experience

A month to begin. Three months to build your skills. For anyone who has always wanted to play: a place in a beginner batch at Player's Institute in Thane, learning one instrument alongside other students, with guided exercises and feedback from the teacher.

Choose your course

One month, 4 group lessons: ₹2,300. Tuition ₹1,800 + admission and material fee ₹500 (usually ₹750, so you save ₹250).
Three months, 12 group lessons: ₹5,650. Tuition ₹5,400 (₹1,800 a month) + admission and material fee ₹250 (usually ₹750, so you save ₹500).

Lessons are weekly and 60 minutes long. The Auréa saving is on the one-time admission and material fee; tuition stays ₹1,800 a month.

Choose an instrument

Guitar, keyboard, drums or another instrument taught at PI, depending on a suitable batch, teacher and instrument availability. PI confirms your instrument and class timings before the first lesson.

How it progresses

In one month the target is a teacher-selected, beginner-friendly song or simplified section, with essential technique and rhythm. Three months build those foundations further through PI's beginner curriculum. At the end you get a short progress review and a recommendation for what to learn next; regular fees to continue are explained separately.

Good to know

For children, teens, adults and retired beginners, each placed in an age-appropriate batch.
Progress depends on age, attendance and practice; a full song isn't guaranteed.
Miss a lesson and only your attendance moves; the batch timetable stays as it is.

About Player's Institute

A music school in Vartak Nagar, Thane West, founded in 2014. It teaches guitar, keyboard, ukulele, vocals, drums, flute and violin, from complete beginners to advanced players, and is affiliated with London College of Music Examinations (University of West London). Teaching credentials at PI include a bachelor's degree in music with honours from the University of Chichester (UK), a Performance Certificate from Musicians Institute, Hollywood, and Grade 8 Rock Guitar with Distinction (London College of Music / RGT).

Player's Institute terms & conditions

Booking • After you book, Player's Institute confirms the package, participants, instrument, date and teacher or batch with you. • Player's Institute reserves your seat in a suitable beginner batch and confirms class timings, instrument access during lessons and home-practice needs before your first lesson. Rescheduling & missed sessions • Reschedule by telling Player's Institute at least 24 hours before the session; the new time depends on teacher and slot availability. • With less than 24 hours' notice, or a no-show, the session may count as used (PI may make an exception for a genuine emergency). • Arriving late doesn't extend the session. • In a group course only your attendance moves; the batch timetable doesn't. Cancellations & refunds • Cancel at least 24 hours before your package starts for a refund. • Once teaching has started, delivered sessions aren't refundable; unused sessions can be rescheduled or refunded proportionately, subject to the 24-hour rule. • If Player's Institute has to cancel, you're offered another suitable time at no extra cost, or a refund for the part not delivered. Songs & outcomes • Songs are approved by the teacher and may be simplified. Progress depends on your starting level, attendance and practice; a complete, polished song isn't guaranteed. • An instrument for home practice isn't included unless agreed separately. Prices • Prices cover the stated participants and teaching time. Extra lessons or participants, take-home instruments, professional recording, catering and decorations are quoted separately by Player's Institute.
