And every culinary identity has a story.
“India on a Plate” is a new experiential series by Samsona Getaways, created to explore India's diverse food cultures—one regional flavour at a time.
And our journey begins with Punjab.
Chapter 1 – Punjab takes you on a specially curated culinary journey through Mumbai, exploring selected food destinations associated with Punjabi cuisine and culinary traditions.
The evening begins at Thane at 4:30 PM, with the group travelling comfortably by Ertiga or Innova.
But this is not simply an evening out for dinner.
You will move from one food experience to another, tasting selected Punjabi specialities as part of the planned food experience. Along the way, food becomes a window into the culture, communities and traditions that have contributed to Mumbai's remarkably diverse culinary landscape.
The experience is deliberately limited to just 5–6 guests, allowing for a more intimate and interactive outing.
Why Punjab?
Punjabi cuisine has a strong and distinctive presence in Mumbai. Its food is expressive, generous and deeply connected with the traditions and communities that have carried it across generations.
This chapter invites you to experience that flavour—not merely by reading about it or ordering a meal at a restaurant, but by going out, exploring and tasting it as part of a journey.
And this is only the beginning.

The chapters that follow will introduce different regional flavours of India, each offering an opportunity to discover another part of the country's culinary and cultural diversity.

- The experience is scheduled for Friday, 2 October 2026. - Assembly point is Thane. - Departure time is 4:30 PM. - Guests are requested to report at the designated assembly point before departure. - Transportation will be provided by Ertiga or Innova, from Thane and back to Thane. - Minimum group size: 5 guests. - Maximum group size: 6 guests. - The cost of food tasting as part of the planned/set menu is included. - Food and beverages ordered outside the set menu are not included and shall be payable separately by the guest. - Toll and parking charges are included. - Personal expenses are excluded. - The food stops and sequence may be subject to availability and operational considerations. - Guests should inform Samsona Getaways of any food allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of booking. Suitable alternatives cannot be guaranteed. - Guests are expected to maintain appropriate conduct at all participating food establishments and respect staff, fellow guests and other patrons. - Guests must follow the instructions and timings communicated by the Samsona Getaways representative. - The experience is time-bound. Delays by individual participants may affect the planned schedule. - Food stops, timings or routing may be modified due to traffic, weather, crowd conditions, outlet availability or other operational circumstances. - Confirmation is subject to availability and receipt of the applicable payment. - Anything not specifically mentioned under Inclusions is excluded. - Samsona Getaways reserves the right of admission. - Limited seats available.
